Community Team Performances
or Solo, Duet & Trio Opportunities
SESD dancers have two different ways to perform throughout the year, beyond their regular classes: Community Team Performances and Solo, Duet & Trio Opportunities. Community team performances happen at events like festivals, expos, and holiday celebrations, and are open to any interested dancer. Select events also feature performances from our solo, duet, and trio dancers. Both give dancers extra stage time and real world performance experience, without the commitment level of our competition program.
Community Team Performances
- Open to any interested dancer.
- For most events, one team piece is choreographed for dancers who want to participate. Because participation depends on each family's availability, the specific dancers performing may vary from event to event.
- Some events also feature performances from our solo, duet, and trio dancers, alongside the team piece. See Solo, Duet & Trio Opportunities below for more on that program.
- Cost varies by event and covers choreography, extra rehearsal time, and SESD attire. For example, participating in the Carolina Core performance costs $50, which includes an SESD branded t-shirt.
